All of those items above are carefully crafted and nurtured "accelerants" to create bushfires around the world between various sex, race, religion and people.

I suspect the council’s “retrospectivity” will backfire as it’s origin and application are appearing to be prejudicial to a particular group in contravention with the European Union Charter of Human Rights and Universal Declaration of Human Rights!

I also suspect, right now those “Jews” who are supporting the so called anti-Muslim burqa will stand behind the Muslims in future because these principles will open the flood gates of banning Jewish skull caps and other dresses!

Belgian school sacks teacher over burqa

A Belgian high school on Tuesday sacked a Muslim maths teacher after she insisted she would continue to wear the burqa while taking classes.

At the start of the academic year authorities at the school in Charleroi, south of Brussels, told the Turkish-born teacher to remove her full-face Islamic veil, which she had been wearing during class for two and a half years.

The teacher refused and took her case to court.

In the first instance the Charleroi tribunal backed the school board, citing the religious "neutrality" of the schools serving Belgium's francophone community.

However, in March the appeals court ruled that the school in question came under the jurisdiction of Charleroi, which had not issued rules on the banning of religious insignia.

The Muslim teacher therefore returned to school, but the municipality soon afterwards introduced its own ban on the wearing of "all religious or philosophical symbols".

On Tuesday officials at the school, after auditioning the teacher in presence of the mayor, decided to sack her for her continued refusal to leave her burqa at home, according to a statement issued by the town hall.

The debate over the Muslim veil has divided opinion in Belgium.

In May legislators voted to ban wearing the burqa in public, paving the way for the first clampdown of its kind in Europe.

The law covers all clothes or veils that do not allow the wearer to be fully identified, including the full-face niqab and burqa.

The text must still be adopted by the upper house Senate before it can come into effect.

Today, after the demonstration I have attended a discussion forum where I have asked the question, “no one would be crucified should one dares to denounce Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, communism, nazism, socialism or any other isms! However, how is that in seven European countries they will put you in jail for questioning the ‘holocaust’?

They are doing so while an Israeli holocaust in the occupied Palestine is going unchallenged in our time and in front of you and me!!! Therefore my question is why do we have such a blatant and monumental double standard and hypocrisy?” A few amongst the ‘lefty crowed’ was misty eyed and they claimed to have detected the apparent smell of anti-Semitism! Nonetheless they urged us all there ever onwards and put forth that the answer to solve all of our problems was through Marxism and Socialism. At the end of the meeting I asked them to publicise these historical, valid maps I had with me so as to educate the populace through their own publications (links shown below). They promised to me to that they would do so. Let’s wait and see.

Therefore trying to be educated is worthless!

Dummying down the education system is a very important tool for the ‘boss’ who would like to exploit the mass! To achieve that goal, ‘boss’ controls the media (thought process), educational institutions (schools), opium of the masses (pulpit), lobby groups (power of the lever) etc. etc.

No, that is not the reason for American's lack of education at the present. When I was a kid in school, the Texas educational system was excellent, and we were taught the Native American Indian culture, and were well educated in many subjects that are not offered at present day American schools. For example, the subject of World Geography is no longer taught in most American elementary schools. I'm beginning to think American History and Government are no longer stressed in elementary schools.

I do not know why American standards have become so lowered.

It seems that young Americans at present are only interested in computers, cell phones, and cars.

22/04/08 "New York Times" -- -- We don't hear a great deal about education in the presidential campaign. It's much too serious a topic to compete with such fun stuff as Hillary tossing back a shot of whiskey, or Barack rolling a gutter ball.

The nation's future may depend on how well we educate the current and future generations, but (like the renovation of the nation's infrastructure, or a serious search for better sources of energy) that can wait. At the moment, no one seems to have the will to engage any of the most serious challenges facing the U.S.

An American kid drops out of high school every 26 seconds. That's more than a million every year, a sign of big trouble for these largely clueless youngsters in an era in which a college education is crucial to maintaining a middle-class quality of life — and for the country as a whole in a world that is becoming more hotly competitive every day.

Ignorance in the United States is not just bliss, it's widespread. A recent survey of teenagers by the education advocacy group Common Core found that a quarter could not identify Adolf Hitler, a third did not know that the Bill of Rights guaranteed freedom of speech and religion, and fewer than half knew that the Civil War took place between 1850 and 1900.

"We have one of the highest dropout rates in the industrialized world," said Allan Golston, the president of U.S. programs for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In a discussion over lunch recently he described the situation as "actually pretty scary, alarming."

Roughly a third of all American high school students drop out. Another third graduate but are not prepared for the next stage of life — either productive work or some form of post-secondary education.

When two-thirds of all teenagers old enough to graduate from high school are incapable of mastering college-level work, the nation is doing something awfully wrong.

Mr. Golston noted that the performance of American students, when compared with their peers in other countries, tends to grow increasingly dismal as they move through the higher grades:

"In math and science, for example, our fourth graders are among the top students globally. By roughly eighth grade, they're in the middle of the pack. And by the 12th grade, U.S. students are scoring generally near the bottom of all industrialized countries."

Many students get a first-rate education in the public schools, but they represent too small a fraction of the whole.

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, offered a brutal critique of the nation's high schools a few years ago, describing them as "obsolete" and saying, "When I compare our high schools with what I see when I'm traveling abroad, I am terrified for our work force of tomorrow."

Said Mr. Gates: "By obsolete, I don't just mean that they are broken, flawed or underfunded, though a case could be made for every one of those points. By obsolete, I mean our high schools — even when they're working as designed — cannot teach all our students what they need to know today."

The Educational Testing Service, in a report titled "America's Perfect Storm," cited three powerful forces that are affecting the quality of life for millions of Americans and already shaping the nation's future. They are:

• The wide disparity in the literacy and math skills of both the school-age and adult populations. These skills, which play such a tremendous role in the lives of individuals and families, vary widely across racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups.

• The "seismic changes" in the U.S. economy that have resulted from globalization, technological advances, shifts in the relationship of labor and capital, and other developments.

• Sweeping demographic changes. By 2030, the U.S. population is expected to reach 360 million. That population will be older and substantially more diverse, with immigration having a big impact on both the population as a whole and the work force.

These and so many other issues of crucial national importance require an educated populace if they are to be dealt with effectively. At the moment we are not even coming close to equipping the population with the intellectual tools that are needed.

While we're effectively standing in place, other nations are catching up and passing us when it comes to educational achievement. You have to be pretty dopey not to see the implications of that.

But, then, some of us are pretty dopey. In the Common Core survey, nearly 20 percent of respondents did not know who the U.S. fought in World War II. Eleven percent thought that Dwight Eisenhower was the president forced from office by the Watergate scandal. Another 11 percent thought it was Harry Truman.

During the question/statement time I said, "the holy Qur-an is like constitution and Hadiths are like Case and Statue laws. On top of these guidelines, debate and discussions are permitted and they used to practice a fairly good democratic process. However, today, the democracy is under the barrels of guns in Pakistan, aided and abetted by the USA for their own-interest. Egypt is in the same direction. After the debate couple of young ladies said, "we know you, we saw you in many rallies, do you mind if we take some photos with you and your famous T-shirt". I had a chuckle with them and they took some photos.

Some people who were `scared' of me because of my T-Shirt or look prior to the debate asked me for my fliers and I gave them until they finished.

However, prior to the meeting some predictable people complained to the security about my pole/bumper stickers, "Free Palestine" and "Stop Genocide in Iraq". They were ignored.

Some people complained about my existence at the door of the Sydney Recital Hall. They too, have not had enough luck. Some of them refused to take my fliers and look at me with contempt. Yet, I maintained civility with them.

A few of them came and told me, "your materials are disgusting". I said, "according to your opinion". The reply was, "it is a fact". My response was, "based on what evidence". After a few exchanges, I said, "what Daniel Pipes preaches and practices are really disgusting, not my arguments because they are based on facts. One said, "you should not be allowed here in the first place". One shouted, "you are smiling like an innocent baby while distributing offensive materials and wearing a disgusting T-Shirt". I said, "where is the free speech and do you believe in selective free speech only"? They too, complained to the security and management without any luck.

I said to myself, during the Howard period we were gradually loosing free speech and democracy, dummying down education, `children over board' and `truth over board' overtook free press and publications, public servants were muzzled and bullied into submission!

Under Kevin Rudd may be we are going to regain them now.

Oh, I did not have a ticket for the venue. During my adventure I went inside to get a ticket without any success. Anyway, I continued my mission. At one stage I noticed a nice person was hanging around me. I asked him, "do I know you". His reply was, "I know you from the Politics in the Pub … ". Naturally, we continued to discus a few issues.
